Incorporated in 1982, General Purpose Steel has grown from a one man operation to one of the premier distributors of hot rolled and hot rolled pickled & oiled products. We deliver our products throughout the continental United States as well as Canada and Mexico, specializing in High Strength Low Alloy grades and Structural High Strength grades of steel. We have strategically created stocking and processing locations in Cleveland, Ohio, Chicago, Illinois, Crawfordsville, Indiana, Memphis, Tennessee, Birmingham, Alabama and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to best service our customers and their markets.
Through a unique partnership arrangement with the industries leading toll processors, General Purpose Steel Incorporated provides temper leveled sheet and plate to the flattest industry tolerances, coil to coil tempering, cut to length with corrective leveling, pickling and oiling, slitting, shearing, blanking, plasma cutting, laser cutting and forming. This unique partnership enables us to deliver the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost.
